Yemeni Iran-aligned Houthi militias condemned Israeli strikes on Iranian territory Friday. They expressed full solidarity with Tehran, stressing on what they called Iran's "legitimate right" to respond.
In a statement from its political office, the group that holds control on Yemen's capital Sanaa and most major Northern population centers claimed the attacks prove that the Zionist entity poses a danger threatening the security and stability of the entire region.
The statement added that Israel's allegations about Iran's nuclear program are "completely baseless."
This stance comes after Israel launched strikes Friday, targeting military sites, nuclear facilities, and critical infrastructure in Iran. The strikes led to the killing of Iranian commanders and nuclear scientists.
Separately, the Israeli military reported Friday that a missile launched from Yemen fell in the Hebron area without being intercepted, according to
Al-Jazeera.
The announcement coincides with the ongoing Houthi months-long military campaign, involving missile and drone attacks against Israel.
Top Houthi leader Abdulmalik Al-Houthi vowed in a televised speech Thursday to continue strikes against Israel. He announced that his forces launched 11 missiles and drones this week at Israeli targets in support of Gaza.
The Houthis Supreme Political Council head Mahdi Al-Mashat accused the U.S. of threatening Iran. He emphasized Tehran's full right to defend its sovereignty through all legitimate means, pledging to stand with this right.
The Yemeni internationally-recognized government, which accuses Iran of funding and arming the Houthis to seize power, did not comment on the Israel-Iran developments till the time of publication.
