This coincided with intensive preparations in the city to receive additional delegations arriving from various districts, with continued influx of tribal and student processions toward the celebration square expected to draw large attendance throughout the day.
These movements precede a major anticipated event this afternoon to celebrate the anniversary, occurring amid a tense political and security context recently witnessed in Hadramout.
The celebrations coincided with security tensions in the governorate, following the Second Military Region's announcement that company protection forces and PetroMasila facilities had been attacked, according to its statement, by groups affiliated to Sheikh Amr bin Habrish, the ousted president of the Hadramout Tribal Alliance (HTA).
The Regional Command warned of the danger of escalation affecting the oil facilities, considered among the country's most vital assets, stating that such actions "threaten Hadramout's security and harm the national economy."
The Second Military Region confirmed its intention to take strict measures to protect PetroMasila facilities and oil fields, calling for peaceful resolution of disputes and urging citizens to unite in preserving the governorate's security and stability during this sensitive phase.
In the same context, the Public Prosecution in Hadramout issued compulsory arrest warrants against Sheikh Amr bin Habrish and "Hadramout Protection Forces" commander Mubarak Al-Awbathani, charging them with committing acts punishable by law.
