At least nine people were killed and 50 others wounded on Wednesday (November 4) in two Houthi missile attacks targeting sites in AlDhalea and Lahj governorates, South Yemen, according to medical and military sources who spoke to South24 Center.

A medical source told South24 Center that seven newly recruited personnel were killed and 50 others wounded in an initial casualty toll from a Houthi missile strike targeting a training center in northern AlDhalea.

Earlier on Wednesday morning, South24 Center's correspondent reported that the Houthi militia had fired ballistic missiles at the vicinity of Al-Allalah military camp in Qatabah District, northern AlDhalea, amid initial reports of casualties.

Following the attack, appeals were issued urging residents to donate blood at Al-Nasr Hospital and the field hospital in Sanah to help save the wounded.

In a separate attack, a military source told South24 Center that two people were killed when a Houthi missile struck a detention facility housing prisoners and individuals wanted by security authorities near the iron factory in Lahj Governorate early Wednesday.

The figures are based on preliminary information obtained by South24 Center as of 11:21 a.m. on Wednesday, and the casualty toll could change as further updates emerge.
