The Southern Armed Forces announced on Monday (October 27) that two of its soldiers were killed during clashes with the Houthi militia on the Al-Had front in Yafe', along the border separating Lahj and Al-Bayda governorates. This marks the latest round of confrontations on this front since the beginning of the year.

The spokesperson for the Southern Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Al-Naqeeb, stated that the Southern Forces "engaged in clashes this morning with the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, inflicting significant human and material losses on the militia."

He said the forces "dealt a new blow to the Houthi militia on the Yafe' border front”, and added that the clashes resulted in the death of two Southern Forces members.

The statement did not specify the number of Houthi casualties. The Houthis have not issued any statement or comment thus far.

The Al-Had front in Yafe' is one of the most prominent frontlines between the Southern Forces and the Houthi militia, and has witnessed intermittent confrontations and infiltration attempts from time to time, despite the relative calm on other fronts within the country.
