In an official statement published on Facebook, the authority said the shipment had arrived from China through the transit system en route to Yemen.
Ahmed Bakrit, Director General of Sarfait Customs, stated that the seizure included 100,000 electric detonating cords, 100 wireless communication devices, 98 rolls of fiberglass, 4 rolls of carbon fiber, and precision measuring scales.
Bakrit added that the operation was carried out in accordance with the Customs Law and applicable regulations, as part of a government campaign to combat smuggling and strengthen oversight at border crossings.
The statement noted that the operation represents one of the most significant customs seizures in recent months in Al-Mahra, a governorate considered one of the most important commercial and land gateways between South Yemen and the Sultanate of Oman.
