The leader of Yemen’s Houthi militia, Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, declared that the group is in a “holy battle” alongside Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas against Israel, the U.S., and Western nations.
The statement was made yesterday in a video speech broadcast by the Houthi-run Al-Masirah channel, on the eve of the anniversary of the October 7, 2023, attack by Palestinian factions on Israeli settlements.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran did not stop at supporting Gaza and Lebanon, but launched direct attacks on [Israel]. These are actions in reality, contrary to the rumors against it by those loyal to Israel and the US," Al-Houthi said.
Al-Houthi criticized Saudi Arabia, saying, "Despite recent events in Gaza, their ongoing flirtation with Israel regarding normalization underscores their unwavering ties".
The Yemeni rebel leader called on Jordan and Egypt to take measures to prevent Israel's territorial expansion toward their borders.
Al-Houthi spoke at length about the results of their year-long naval campaign against ships crossing the Bab al-Mandab Strait, claiming that they have attacked 193 ships so far in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden and other seas.
Alleging that his militias have carried out numerous assaults using over a thousand missiles, drones, and explosive drone boats, Al-Houthi further claimed that US and British forces have launched 774 airstrikes on Yemen since January, resulting in the deaths of 82 individuals and injuries to 340 others.
He reiterated their commitment to continue targeting Israeli, American, and British-affiliated ships until the conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon come to an end.
