During the past few days, the Southern forces repelled attacks launched by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia amid international and regional efforts to establish a new truce in the country.

On Saturday, the Southern forces said in a statement that a soldier was wounded in attacks launched by the Houthis' drones, north and west of Al-Dhalea governorate (north of the capital city Aden).

The Southern forces statement referred to 10 attacks carried out by the Houthis through drones. The statement said that the Southern forces exercised restraint, in implementation of the STC's directives.

On Sunday, South24 correspondent reported that the Houthis launched another attack on the civilian areas adjacent to the battle fronts, west of Al-Dhalea governorate, using artillery shelling.

In Abyan governorate, the Southern Resistance announced yesterday that it had intercepted a Houthi drone that attempted to target the Southern forces sites in Thurah border front, north of Al-Dhalea.

The Houthi attacks coincided with the arrival of the Saudi ambassador to Sanaa, accompanied by a delegation from the Sultanate of Oman, on Saturday, to hold talks with the Houthis militia.
