The US special envoy to Yemen Tim Lenderking has renewed his country's support to the parity government to complete the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement.

This comes during a meeting held with the Prime Minister of Yemen Maeen Abdulmalik in Riyadh on Tuesday. Lenderking visits Saudi Arabia and Oman to complete the US efforts to resolve the conflict in Yemen.

At this time, the STC in South Yemen has announced receiving an invitation by Saudi Arabia to complete the negotiations for the remaining of the Riyadh Agreement signed with the Yemeni government in the 5th of November 2019, according to the Chinese news agency (Xinhua).

"We dealt positively with this invitation as for previous invitations but the priority today as we view is in the necessary and urgent return to the parity government to the capital city Aden to perform its duties in addressing the state of collapse in basic services and put an end to the currency collapse", the Council's spokesperson told the agency.

Al-Kathiri considered the return of the government a priority required by the doomed and tragic situation witnessed by Aden and South's governorates before heading to the negotiations, according to the agency.

The Yemeni Prime Minister indicated during his meeting with Lenderking, "to the steps taken by the government in implementing the Riyadh Agreement and ensuring the implementation of its remaining items.”

"To perform extraordinary efforts in normalizing conditions, improving basic services and improving economic situations in the temporary capital Aden and liberated governorates", Abdulmalik referring to the government's intentions according to Saba agency.

Despite the fact that the Yemeni government is one of the Riyadh Agreement outcomes, there are still bodies in Hadi's regime that seeks to turn the new government into a conflict part.

Observers fear that the Riyadh Agreement failure lead to a new cycle of conflict between the STC and pro-government forces dominated by the Islamic political party, Islah party, located in eastern Abyan and Shabwah.
