Rania Walid Khayali
Rania Walid Khyali is a researcher specializing in the political economy of development and a Non-Resident Researcher at South24 Center. She has a multidisciplinary academic background spanning Peace and Development Studies, International Relations, and Economics, with studies at the University of Gothenburg and Linnaeus University in Sweden, as well as Sociology at the University of Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom and English Literature. She completed her postgraduate studies in the Political Economy of Development at SOAS University of London.
Her research focuses on Yemen and conflict-affected economies, with particular interests in financial and institutional fragmentation, monetary and fiscal governance, and economic recovery in fragile and conflict-affected contexts.
