Officer Lafi bin Jaafar Al-Ameri was killed by gunmen in the Tarba area of Seiyun city in Hadramout. Security authorities announced the arrest of the suspect and said the incident resulted from a personal dispute.

Mukalla witnessed the flight of three drones over military sites, prompting air defenses to respond around Al-Rayyan Airport and Al-Dhabba Port in the Khalaf area. The party responsible was not identified.

Yahya Wahish, commander of the First Brigade in the National Resistance Forces, was killed by an explosive device that targeted his convoy south of Al-Hodeidah. The attack also killed one soldier and injured two others, amid accusations that the Houthis were behind it.

Video footage showed security men brutally assaulting a child and a young man with rifle butts. The detainees were later released.

Al-Mualla in Aden witnessed a protest denouncing deteriorating services and power outages, amid heavy security deployment and calls for urgent solutions.

A military source said a soldier from the Southern forces died of wounds he sustained in a terrorist bombing that took place in Al-Mahfad, Abyan, in October 2025.

Ten soldiers were killed and nine others injured in the explosion of a weapons depot at a camp belonging to the Southern Giants Brigades in Al-Mamdara, Aden. Security sources said the incident was caused by a fire resulting from an electrical short circuit, while local sources reported that a drone had been seen flying before the incident.

Seiyun city witnessed civil disobedience in protest against deteriorating services, particularly electricity.

The National Resistance Forces announced that they had downed an explosive-laden Houthi drone that attempted to target military positions south of Al-Hodeidah.

The Houthi foreign ministry warned against the continuation of what it called the “U.S. aggression” against Iran, affirmed its support for Tehran, and pointed to possible serious consequences for global trade and energy markets.

Aden Police announced that one soldier and two Syrian doctors were killed and four others injured by gunfire from a security guard working at the Aden governor’s house in the Al-Dareen area of Aden. According to a police statement, the gunman opened fire randomly, causing the casualties, before he was killed by security forces. Activists later circulated previous inciting posts against the Syrian doctor, saying people close to the Islah Party were behind them and had accused the doctor of supporting former Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.
