Hadramout – Mukalla: Security forces in Mukalla seized 20 grenade canisters during a raid in Al-Dis area and arrested a suspect who admitted they had been looted from Al-Rayyan Airport.

Marib – Harib Front: Two soldiers were injured in a Houthi drone attack that targeted a position of the 9th Shabwa Defense Brigade on the Harib Front.

Lahj – Lahj: Twelve soldiers were injured in a collision involving two military vehicles belonging to the Nation’s Shield Forces in Lahj, according to a security source.

Taiz – Taiz City: Officer Amr Al-Shamiri of the Criminal Investigation Department in Taiz Police was killed by unidentified gunmen in the city center, according to local sources.

Hadramout – Mukalla: The Specialized Criminal Court in Hadramout sentenced five convicts to prison terms ranging from 25 to 50 years in a case involving the abduction and rape of 14 children in Mukalla.

Shabwa – Ataq: The Saudi military official in Shabwa, Musleh Al-Otaibi, held a meeting with a number of Shabwa Defense Forces commanders at the Merah military base, where only the Saudi flag was raised during the meeting.

Abyan – Mukayras: Local media in South Yemen reported that a drone believed to be American targeted Houthi positions in the Barkan area of Mukayras district in Abyan.

Aden – Aden: The Southern Independent Group, a human rights organization, documented the killing of 133 people and the injury of 333 others in Saudi airstrikes and attacks by Saudi-backed forces in the South during January and February 2026.

Al-Mahra – Al-Ghaydah: Rajeh Bakrit, a member of the Southern delegation in Riyadh, said Al-Mahra is witnessing deteriorating services, a salary crisis and security disorder involving killings and abductions. He pointed to indicators of cooperation between local actors involved in fuel tanker ambushes and the Houthis.

Hadramout – Al-Khasha’a: A Ministry of Defense committee began its work in Al-Khasha’a in Wadi Hadramout to receive soldiers and officers from the 37th Armored Brigade, the 35th Mountain Infantry Brigade and the First Military Region who are from northern governorates and were expelled from the area by STC forces in December 2026.

Sana’a – Sana’a: Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi said the current truce is nearing its end and remains fragile amid a high likelihood of escalation. He said the group is in confrontation with Israel and the United States and would escalate if escalation is directed against it.

Lahj – Iron Factory Checkpoint: Aden Belt Forces seized a shipment of smuggled medicines at the Iron Factory checkpoint aboard a vehicle heading out of the capital.

Aden – Mayun Island: A military source said two soldiers from the Southern Giants Forces died after a military boat sank off Mayun Island.

Sana’a – Sana’a: Al-Masirah TV, the Houthi-run channel, said military consultations took place in Jordan between delegations from the group and Saudi Arabia under UN auspices, excluding representatives of the Yemeni government.

Hadramout – Seiyun: Wadi Hadramout Security announced the start of integrating units from the Hadrami Elite Forces into security agencies in the valley and desert. A source told South24 that the reintegration of the Hadrami Elite Forces and the Security Support Brigade into Wadi and Desert Hadramout Security came under pressure from Presidential Leadership Council member Abdulrahman Al-Mahrami.

Faraj Al-Bahsani said weakening and fragmenting the Hadrami Elite Forces, estimated at around 15,000 soldiers and officers, poses a threat to Hadramout’s security and national stability. He said Saudi Arabia bears a historical and moral responsibility to protect the force.
