Shabwa - Shabwa Coast: The Yemeni Coast Guard said the oil tanker “M/T EUREKA” was hijacked off the coast of Shabwa by unidentified gunmen before being diverted toward the Somali coast, with nine armed men on board. Maritime data indicated that the hijacked tanker, which was seized off Shabwa, was flying the flag of Togo. Later reports indicated that eight Egyptian sailors were on board.

Hodeidah - Al-Durayhimi, Al-Manafira: Four children were seriously injured when an explosive remnant of war detonated in Al-Manafira area of Al-Durayhimi district in Hodeidah governorate, according to local media.

Shabwa - Bir Ali: One person was killed and his brother was injured in clashes with a force from the 2nd Marine Infantry Brigade in the Bir Ali area of Shabwa governorate, according to a local source.

Hadramout - Al-Wadiah Crossing: Customs authorities at Al-Wadiah Crossing in Hadramout foiled an attempt to smuggle a shipment of hazardous chemicals and restricted medicines that had been professionally concealed. They also seized 280 kilograms of highly toxic sodium cyanide, classified as a dual-use material, along with around 69,000 Solpadeine tablets hidden inside washing machines.

Aden - Enma City: The body of acting Social Fund for Development Director Wissam Qaed was found hours after he was abducted in Aden, according to a security source. Yemeni press sources said the Houthi group had attempted to arrest Wissam Qaed before the Fund’s headquarters was moved to Aden, and that he had received threats from officials inside the Fund in Sanaa before the incident.

Aden - Aden: Security authorities in Aden announced the arrest of a suspect in the assassination of acting Social Fund for Development Director Wissam Qaed, according to the Saba news agency.

Aden - Khormaksar, Parade Square: Aden witnessed a major demonstration attended by tens of thousands of supporters of the Southern Transitional Council, marking the anniversary of what has become known as the “Aden Historic Declaration” on May 4, 2017, which paved the way for the establishment of the Council on May 11 of the same year. Al-Zubaidi delivered a recorded speech for the first time on the occasion, reaffirming the Council’s commitment to South Yemen’s independence and warning against what he described as efforts to weaken the “Southern Cause”.

Hadramout - Seiyun: A statement issued by a mass pro-STC rally in Seiyun demanded the immediate withdrawal of Yemeni Emergency Forces from Hadramout, describing them as “occupying forces”.

Riyadh - Riyadh: Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad Al-Alimi spoke of coordination between the Houthis and terrorist networks in Africa behind the hijacking of the oil tanker “M/T EUREKA” off the coast of Shabwa, during his meeting with the US ambassador to Yemen in Riyadh.

Al-Dhalea - Al-Fakher Front: Six Southern forces soldiers were injured in a Houthi drone attack on the Al-Fakher front in northern Al-Dhalea.

Hadramout - Mukalla, Al-Dis: A special source said members of the Hadramout Protection Forces, affiliated with tribal sheikh Amr bin Habrish, blocked the route of transport trucks in the Al-Dis area of Mukalla in protest over eight months of unpaid salaries and the failure to regularize their military status.

Abyan - Ahwar: A local source reported that three people were killed in tribal clashes in Ahwar, which erupted between two sides over disputes linked to the smuggling of African migrants.

Lahj - Al-Anad: A committee from Yemen’s Ministry of Defense visited the Al-Anad Axis in Lahj governorate as part of its mission to continue handover procedures for the axes of the Fourth Military Region to a new command.

Lahj - Yafea, Al-Had Front: A Southern forces soldier was injured in fierce clashes with the Houthi militia on the Al-Had front in Yafea, along the border with Al-Bayda governorate.

Al-Dhalea - Battar Front: Four Houthi militia members were killed during clashes with Southern forces on the Battar front in northwestern Al-Dhalea governorate, while the militia continued shelling agricultural areas in Battar and Al-Siqaya with mortar rounds.

Amman - Amman: An agreement was announced in the Jordanian capital, Amman, between the Yemeni government, the Houthi group, and representatives of Saudi Arabia for a prisoner exchange that would release around 1,728 detainees from both sides, including soldiers from Coalition forces as well as politicians and journalists. According to a Houthi official, the deal includes 1,100 Houthi prisoners and detainees in exchange for 580 from the government side. The lists also include seven Saudi prisoners and 20 Sudanese prisoners.
