Shabwa - Shabwa Coast: The Yemeni Coast Guard said the oil tanker “M/T EUREKA” was hijacked off the coast of Shabwa by unidentified gunmen before being diverted toward the Somali coast, with nine armed men on board. Maritime data indicated that the hijacked tanker, which was seized off Shabwa, was flying the flag of Togo. Later reports indicated that eight Egyptian sailors were on board.

Hodeidah - Al-Durayhimi, Al-Manafira: Four children were seriously injured when an explosive remnant of war detonated in Al-Manafira area of Al-Durayhimi district in Hodeidah governorate, according to local media.

Shabwa - Bir Ali: One person was killed and his brother was injured in clashes with a force from the 2nd Marine Infantry Brigade in the Bir Ali area of Shabwa governorate, according to a local source.

Hadramout - Al-Wadiah Crossing: Customs authorities at Al-Wadiah Crossing in Hadramout foiled an attempt to smuggle a shipment of hazardous chemicals and restricted medicines that had been professionally concealed. They also seized 280 kilograms of highly toxic sodium cyanide, classified as a dual-use material, along with around 69,000 Solpadeine tablets hidden inside washing machines.

Aden - Enma City: The body of acting Social Fund for Development Director Wissam Qaed was found hours after he was abducted in Aden, according to a security source. Yemeni press sources said the Houthi group had attempted to arrest Wissam Qaed before the Fund’s headquarters was moved to Aden, and that he had received threats from officials inside the Fund in Sanaa before the incident.

Aden - Aden: Security authorities in Aden announced the arrest of a suspect in the assassination of acting Social Fund for Development Director Wissam Qaed, according to the Saba news agency.

Aden - Khormaksar, Parade Square: Aden witnessed a major demonstration attended by tens of thousands of supporters of the Southern Transitional Council, marking the anniversary of what has become known as the “Aden Historic Declaration” on May 4, 2017, which paved the way for the establishment of the Council on May 11 of the same year. Al-Zubaidi delivered a recorded speech for the first time on the occasion, reaffirming the Council’s commitment to South Yemen’s independence and warning against what he described as efforts to weaken the “Southern Cause”.

Hadramout - Mukalla: Local security forces deployed as a major demonstration called for by the Southern Transitional Council was held to commemorate May 4. Local sources said security forces prevented some delegations coming from outside the city from entering.

Shabwa - Ataq: Southern forces foiled an Al-Qaeda attack west of Ataq city in Shabwa governorate after fierce clashes forced the attackers to flee, according to a military source.

Abyan - Zinjibar, Hassan: Abyan Security arrested members of an armed extortion checkpoint in the Hassan area east of Zinjibar after clashes that left two people injured. The road was reopened and secured.

Hadramout - Al-Wadiah Crossing: Customs authorities at Al-Wadiah Crossing in Hadramout seized a shipment containing hazardous chemicals, including sodium cyanide, nitric acid, and dual-use materials, in addition to quantities of medicines and medical supplies.

Hodeidah - Southern Hodeidah: Saba news agency reported that a Houthi commander and a number of his escorts were killed in strikes carried out by the National Resistance Forces in southern Hodeidah governorate, following Houthi shelling that targeted civilian areas in the region.

Hadramout - Seiyun: A statement issued by a mass pro-STC rally in Seiyun demanded the immediate withdrawal of Yemeni Emergency Forces from Hadramout, describing them as “occupying forces”.

Riyadh - Riyadh: Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad Al-Alimi spoke of coordination between the Houthis and terrorist networks in Africa behind the hijacking of the oil tanker “M/T EUREKA” off the coast of Shabwa, during his meeting with the US ambassador to Yemen in Riyadh.

Al-Dhalea - Northwestern Al-Dhalea: Two Southern forces soldiers were killed and a third was injured in direct clashes with the Houthi militia on the Al-Dhalea front.

Hadramout - Al-Wadiah: Saudi-backed Northern Emergency Forces held a military parade in the Al-Wadiah area of Hadramout, on the border with Saudi Arabia, in the presence of Yemen’s defense and interior ministers. The Yemeni flag was raised and the unity anthem was played.

Aden - Sheikh Othman, Al-Hashimi: Security forces in Aden seized weapons and ammunition during a security campaign in the Al-Hashimi area of Sheikh Othman district.

Hadramout - Mukalla, Al-Shihr, Shuhayr: Anti-narcotics forces on the Hadramout Coast arrested a gang involved in promoting methamphetamine and hashish in Mukalla, Al-Shihr, and Shuhayr.

Al-Dhalea - Al-Fakher Front: Six Southern forces soldiers were injured in a Houthi drone attack on the Al-Fakher front in northern Al-Dhalea.

Hadramout - Mukalla, Al-Dis: A special source said members of the Hadramout Protection Forces, affiliated with tribal sheikh Amr bin Habrish, blocked the route of transport trucks in the Al-Dis area of Mukalla in protest over eight months of unpaid salaries and the failure to regularize their military status.

Abyan - Ahwar: A local source reported that three people were killed in tribal clashes in Ahwar, which erupted between two sides over disputes linked to the smuggling of African migrants.

Lahj - Al-Anad: A committee from Yemen’s Ministry of Defense visited the Al-Anad Axis in Lahj governorate as part of its mission to continue handover procedures for the axes of the Fourth Military Region to a new command.

Marib - Wadi Ubaida: Local sources reported that six people were killed and others injured in armed tribal clashes between the Al Shabwan and Al Naseeb tribes in Wadi Ubaida, Marib governorate, over a revenge-related dispute.

Lahj - Yafea, Al-Had Front: A military source reported fierce clashes between Southern forces and the Houthi militia on the Al-Had front in Yafea.

Lahj - Yafea, Al-Had Front: A Southern forces soldier was injured in fierce clashes with the Houthi militia on the Al-Had front in Yafea, along the border with Al-Bayda governorate.

Al-Dhalea - Battar Front: Four Houthi militia members were killed during clashes with Southern forces on the Battar front in northwestern Al-Dhalea governorate, while the militia continued shelling agricultural areas in Battar and Al-Siqaya with mortar rounds.

Al-Mahra - Shahan: Al-Mahra police arrested irregular migrants in Shahan district in possession of more than 1,050 narcotic pills during a security raid.

Hadramout - Mukalla: Hadrami Elite Forces foiled an attempt to smuggle a shipment of ammunition, explosives, and hazardous materials on board a truck headed to Abyan. The shipment included modified rounds, mortar shells, anti-armor projectiles, and RPG charges.

Abyan - Ahwar Coast: Al-Mahrami directed Southern forces to carry out a security campaign to secure the Ahwar coast in Abyan, remove illegal extortion checkpoints, and prevent smuggling activities.

Al-Jawf - Al-Jadafir Front: Pro-government forces announced the downing of a Houthi drone on the Al-Jadafir front east of Al-Jawf governorate.

Marib - Harib Front: One Shabwa Defense Forces soldier was killed and another injured in a Houthi drone attack on the Harib front in Marib governorate.

Riyadh - Riyadh: Rashad Al-Alimi issued a decision dismissing Southern Giants Brigades commander Raed Al-Habahi from command of the 6th Infantry Brigade and appointing Akram Fouad as his successor, according to a circulated document.

Djibouti - Djibouti: The Yemeni Coast Guard and its Djiboutian counterpart discussed strengthening security coordination, particularly in combating smuggling and protecting maritime navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Aden - Aden: The Specialized Criminal Prosecution in Aden, according to a circulated document, canceled previous arrest warrants issued against a number of Southern Transitional Council leaders. Days later, according to another circulated document, compulsory arrest warrants were reportedly reinstated.

Hadramout - Seiyun: Seiyun city witnessed a military and security parade in Wadi Hadramout at the headquarters of the First Military Region, attended by the governor of Hadramout and local authority leaders.

Amman - Amman: An agreement was announced in the Jordanian capital, Amman, between the Yemeni government, the Houthi group, and representatives of Saudi Arabia for a prisoner exchange that would release around 1,728 detainees from both sides, including soldiers from Coalition forces as well as politicians and journalists. According to a Houthi official, the deal includes 1,100 Houthi prisoners and detainees in exchange for 580 from the government side. The lists also include seven Saudi prisoners and 20 Sudanese prisoners.
